The concept of Artisan started as a childhood dream for my brother and me growing up in Bishop, California. As many of you know, lifestyle dreams and ambitions come and go, but for some reason, our passion for opening up a restaurant, together, never seemed to wane. I was lucky enough to take notice of my brother’s natural talent for knowing the true science of cooking and baking when he was just 12. Oddly enough, he was asked by a prominent family in Bishop to cater their daughter’s wedding at an early age. I was 14 at the time, but old enough to know that Chris had a passion and was certainly something special. After the wedding was over, Chris was the toast of the town. Throughout our childhood, I would notice that Chris and I would always end up in the kitchen at family gatherings, discussing exactly how we would want our first restaurant to look, feel and taste. Many years later and without question, Artisan is the true culmination of all these discussions and we are blessed to share our dream with you. Our fine establishment is located in beautiful downtown Paso Robles, which is in the heart of California’s Central Coast wine region. Artisan is located on 1401 Park Street and serves only the finest American Contemporary Cuisine. Our neighborhood gathering spot is steps away from Paso’s award winning Downtown Square and in addition to serving great American fare, we have a stellar beer and wine bar to complement every dish served. Chris’ carefully crafted seasonal menus are wine friendly. We only use the freshest ingredients along with local & organic produce whenever possible. Our hand selected proteins are wild caught or sustainably farmed and contain no growth hormones or antibiotics.
